Preparing your home for sale is really the first part of Staging such as adjusting your mindset to appreciate that “you no longer live there.” Then simply cleaning, de-cluttering and de-personalizing your home so that prospective buyers can imagine themselves living there. Staging can often be about returning rooms to the originally intended function or creating a feature wall with a great paint color that draws the eye to a specific area and sometimes drawing the eye away from an area that may not be so conducive to the home’s attractiveness.

Staging is often considered romancing the home so that buyers can easily see themselves living there such as a kitchen island bar set with attractive place-mats, wine glasses, dinner plates and napkins so that they can imagine all the great meals that they will be enjoying there. Bathrooms hung with lush, coordinating bath sheets for example. Bedrooms with attractive comforters and analogous wall paint colors that suggest quiet and peaceful harmony.

If your property is empty, then it may require full Staging, which entails renting furniture and interior decor props. Often buyers cannot imagine what an empty room or empty house will look like when they have moved in. Staging a home often pays off with increased sales value and a timely sales closing.
